What we store

We currently use only technically necessary storage mechanisms that are required to operate the Platform. No consent is required for these under § 25(2) of the German TDDG.

Analytics – without cookies

We measure how the Platform is used in order to understand which courses are searched for and which pages are used. For this purpose we store nothing on your device – neither cookies nor identifiers in local storage. That is also why no consent banner is required (§ 25(2) German TDDG).

Instead, our server derives a checksum from your truncated IP address, your browser identification and a secret key, used solely to count repeat page views within a single day. This checksum changes daily, cannot be reversed and is not combined with other data. Your IP address itself is stored in truncated form only (the final digits are removed), so it cannot be related to you personally. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly analytics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Approximate location: Before truncating the IP address we derive a coarse location from it (country, region and city) in order to understand which markets our visitors come from. Only that location is stored — it is less revealing than the IP address it was derived from. The lookup runs against a local database on our own server; your IP address is never transmitted to any third party. The location is inherently imprecise: the country is almost always correct, the city often is not — particularly on mobile networks, where the carrier's location is detected.

If you are signed in, we additionally attribute usage to your account in order to improve our service. You may object to this processing at any time by an informal email to kontakt@world4sport.com (Art. 21 GDPR).

No third parties, no advertising

All analysis runs on our own servers. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising services (such as Google Analytics), do not build advertising profiles and do not sell personal data.

Management

You can delete data stored in your browser at any time. Deleting technically necessary data may cause functions such as login or language selection to stop working correctly. No deletion is needed for analytics, because nothing is stored on your device for that purpose.
